What is Energy Medicine?

Energy medicine is a broad term given to the tools and techniques used to bring balance and healing to the body by restoring its optimum flow of life force energy.

Based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and other ancient traditions of healing, it recognises that the body is an energy system that requires a healthy flow of life force energy (often referred to as ‘chi’ or prana).

When this flow becomes stressed or blocked, it creates imbalance, resulting in what we recognise as a symptom. In the world of energy medicine, every symptom is a byproduct of an energy imbalance and healing can be prompted by addressing this imbalance with simple interventions.

An example of an energy medicine technique is acupressure. The gentle stimulation of a particular point on the body (which is accessing a specific energy channel called a meridian) will help restore the body’s energy flow.  

Energy medicine techniques are often simple, gentle, and safe. They are particularly empowering because you can use them for yourself. This is true self-care!

It’s not a stretch to say that Energy Medicine saved me. Finding my way back to health after years of Chronic Fatigue, corporate burnout, anxiety, allergies and more, was a long journey. After exhausting all conventional medical options, and making progress with natural healing modalities, it wasn’t until my first Kinesiology session that I felt HOPE. Something that we so easily forget is necessary when we’re struggling with debilitating ill-health.
